Great cage for rats! : Super Pet My First Home for Critters, Teal

I got this cage about 2 weeks ago for my two baby girls. I knew the dimensions of it, but was still surprised at the large size of the cage as I was putting it together. This cage is a great size for 2 females, but if you are going to get 2 males or more than two rats in general, this cage would be too small when they are fully grown.

I didn't put in the wheel, because many rats are just too smart to use wheels. But I was able to fit in 3 hammocks, someone else ladder, and a hide box.

My girls are about 5.5 weeks old now, and even when I got them a week ago they weren't able to fit straight through the bars. They also don't even use the ramps half the time, and just climb up the bars to get to the top shelf.

It was a tiny pain putting it together. Took a few minutes to get the clips on the shelves lined up right, but it still only took me about 10 minutes to get the shelves and ramps clipped on, and the bedding in the bottom.
